The EOI assessment process
Once the EOI locations have been communicated and applications have been received, a shortlisting process will determine who will progress to the next stage. This assessment will primarily consider the proposed business type, the location of the site, relevant business skills, retail and customer service experience, financial status and any previous criminal record. It is important that the applicant has also secured a lease or offer to lease for at least 12 months for their application to progress.
The decision to approve an application is at the sole discretion of Lotterywest.
Applicants have 30 business days from the date of release of current opportunities to submit a completed application and at which point the submissions will be evaluated. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Lotterywest to organise a site visit and interview. All applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application after 38 business days of the EOI application closing date.
Non-approval of an application
There may be reasons why an application does not meet our requirements. In these cases, we will give formal notification that the application has not been approved. If you have evidence of an error being made in the process or the decision, and can provide additional information, you may request a Decision Review within ten (10) business days of receiving your notification.
